We transformed Vodafone’s GigaKombi campaign into one of the largest Augmented Reality brand activations worldwide to date. Under the message “Zusammen ist besser. In jeder GigaKombi,” we brought the product ecosystem to life with AR-enhanced giant posters that turned static OOH into immersive digital playgrounds. All powered by nothing more than a smartphone and curiosity.
8 giant Posters all over Germany
Across eight major German cities — Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, and Essen — we installed interactive billboards equipped with WebAR triggers. Passersby could scan a QR code, activate camera access, and instantly dive into the campaign:
- Balloons and emojis filled the sky
- Popcorn popped off the streets
- A floating 3D wheel visualized GigaKombi product bundles
- And an instant-win sweepstake made every interaction meaningful
Each AR scene was individually tailored to the local city environment, ensuring visual integration and relevance.
Easy access and mobile first experience
No app was required — making the barrier to entry ultra-low and the reach high. The entire experience was built mobile-first, leveraging the phone’s camera and motion sensors for playful interactivity.
Instant Rewards and Drive To Store
To drive participation, we connected the AR experience with a daily prize draw. Every day, Vodafone gave away a high-value prize — from smartphones to laptops and smart TVs — directly related to the GigaKombi product ecosystem. besides the main prices each participant could get an instant price that he could pick up in the closest store nearby.
Social Activation and Germany's first ever CGI Virals
To extend the campaign beyond the reach of the OOH posters, an interactive social campaign was launched — featuring local city influencers and marking the first use of CGI virals in a branded campaign in Germany. The CGI Virals proved and significant reduction of the CPM costs and created an positive Brand with the uniqueness (+10%) of the content and product uplift in consideration (+5%).




The world's biggest Immersive OOH campaign
With an innovative concept that fused technology and brand storytelling in a new and immersive way, we created one of the world’s largest AR-based OOH campaigns — reaching over 50 million people via out-of-home media and social platforms.
The campaign activated thousands of participants across eight cities, with 82% of users reporting excitement and over 17,000 minutes of active brand engagement. We created a seamless connection between digital storytelling and real-world incentives, resulting in 40% of participants being routed into retail stores.
By combining emotionally engaging design, tech-powered surprise, and a clear transactional benefit, the GigaKombi campaign proved that AR can be more than a gimmick — it can be a full-funnel brand driver. What started as a billboard became a moment of joy, interaction, and measurable reward.
