To mark the run-up to UEFA EURO 2024 and engage fans during the tournament, OneFootball launched HEIMSPIEL — a social-first campaign welcoming football fans across Germany and presenting the Heimspiel campaign of One football and it's major product the app. We brought the energy of the tournament into everyday life with CGI virals that reimagined football moments in the heart of Berlin, Munich, Düsseldorf and other cities.
A strategic CGI Viral launch for Key Games
We created hyper-local CGI content that placed giant OneFootball balls into real, recognizable cityscapes. Strategically launched around key matches, the viral clips engaged fans on social media and within the app — welcoming supporters from around the world to the host city. Each piece was designed to surprise, spark emotion, and resonate with fans right where they are. Rolled out in phases leading up to the final in Berlin, the campaign built momentum city by city, moment by moment.

The engagement around the CGI virals marked a clear brand success. Beyond high awareness for each asset, the content became OneFootball’s most successful branded campaign during the EUROs. Compared to previous benchmarks, the assets generated 35% more likes and achieved a 50% increase in engagement through comments and shares.
