To celebrate the holiday season, Vodafone gifted users 500GB of data — but not with a typical promotion. Instead, we created an interactive unboxing journey inspired by gaming and streaming culture. The goal: make claiming a data gift feel like opening a loot box — personal, exciting, and fully mobile.
From real touchpoint to digital reward
We developed an immersive mobile-first experience activated via QR codes on Vodafone’s nationwide XXL posters and print ads. With a single scan, users were dropped into an animated unpacking moment on their phone — easy, fast, and designed for vertical use. From there, they could claim their 500GB directly in the MeinVodafone app. We used augmented reality to transform static touchpoints into digital doorways, adding emotion and movement to an existing media surface.
