At OMR Festival 2025, Vodafone unveiled the Magic AI Mirror — a live installation that transformed festival visitors into animated digital characters in real time. From astronauts to anime heroes, the experience blended surprise, emotion, and entertainment into one seamless moment of transformation on a public screen.
An Interactive Experience with up to 17 AI Frames per second
The installation was built around a real-time generative AI pipeline, producing 17 unique frames per second. Visitors selected their character on-site — no downloads, no sign-ins. The system processed live video input and projected the AI-generated avatars instantly onto a large screen. Each interaction was unique and designed to feel magical, yet technically robust. The setup focused on frictionless participation, visual richness, and social shareability.
